I guess I'm playing catch-up since getting the camera. My shop is a complete mess, but thought I'd take a snap-shot. Its 24x24 with 8' ceilings. It in my basement and stays a pretty constant temp of 60 and RH of 45-50.
I have plenty of room, I just need to organize the shop. The stash of wood is mainly the wood used in building my pistol grips. The left side is mmostly French and Calro Walnut. Theright top and bottom are burl mesquite with lots of burl and flame maple in teh middle. Not sure if you can see on teh bottom left, but those are Giraffe leg bones, Hippo tusk and Red Stag antler. I have some fossilized Mammoth Bone in there too. I plan to try some nuts and saddles from it. All my B&S wood is on theotehr side of teh shop and I was too emarrassed to show my disorganized stickering method. More pics when I get to cleaning up.
Hope you enjoyed the tour.

af,
Looks like you are setting up a nice work space. As far as cleaning it up, Looks fine to me.

How do you like that Rigid Jointer? I was looking at one of those a day or so ago.

I like the Rigid line of tools. I the 15" drill press and the 14" bandsaw. Lifetime warranty sold me.
I use the joiner more than most machines. Its accurate enough when set up to join tops and backs too.

Thanks,
I have an old Craftsman jointer and have been thinking about retiring it and getting a new one.

Hey bud, where's the mess? Don't see no mess you neat freak!

Kidding aside, i sure know what you mean when you have all sorts of woods of all sizes that you have to organize because they're piling up everywhere in the shop with ongoing projects.

One thing for sure my friend, you have way more room to move around than i do!

Cheers

Serge

What a great space! My basement shop is sooo cramped. Looks like good lighting and room to grow.
